This beautiful book highlights 29 inspiring flower growers across North America—each one sharing their unique path, practices, and passions.

To be included in this publication alongside some of the most inspiring and thoughtful growers and designers I’ve long admired feels surreal and deeply affirming. It’s a celebration of the dreams we sow into the soil, and the hope we cultivate season after season.

I’m proud to represent the lush, soulful growing community of Vancouver Island and to share my love for one of the cutting garden’s more understated treasures: the astilbe. Though it doesn’t demand attention like the showier ranunculus, Icelandic poppies, roses, or dahlias among the 400+ varieties we grow, its feather-soft plumes bring an unmatched textural grace—fresh or dried—to any arrangement or garden. A true workhorse with poetic charm.
